Protect your family this storm season
with a Safe-At-Home Storm Shelter
Why tremble in fear in your home during a hurricane or get stuck in traffic on crowded highways during evacuations several times a year when you can ride out the storm safely in your own home with a Safe-At-Home storm shelter.
Almost all of us have some degree of PTSD from hurricane Ivan and every year we live in fear whenever a tropical wave forms in the south Atlantic. We watch the weather reports worrying about every new development, wondering if each new tropical depression will develop into a hurricane. Will it turn into the gulf? Will it grow into a category 4 or 5? Will it hit near us? Will we be on the good side or the bad side of it? Should we evacuate, or not? If so, when do we leave and where do we go? What do we do with our pets? How will we transport our infirm family members? If you had a safe place to go where you knew you and your loved ones would be safe and remain close to home wouldn’t that take a lot of stress out your life during the storm season?
Now there is a way to have peace of mind on the gulf coast during the hurricane season. Safe-At-Home storm shelters provide protection for you and your family from 250 mph winds and impacts from flying debris. Safe-At-Home shelters can be constructed inside your home or outside to give you the peace of mind which comes from the knowledge that you won’t have to evacuate your home. With a Safe-At-Home safe room or storm shelter you can quickly and easily protect yourself and your loved ones if a hurricane should take a last minute deadly turn toward your area.
Safe-At-Home storm shelters are available in 3 indoor and 4 outdoor models starting at $3393 installed. They are custom built in your home or yard from engineered plans using steel, concrete, wood, anchoring systems, and armored doors. Each model has been engineered and tested to resist the effects of 250 mph gusting winds and the impact of a 2x4 traveling at a horizontal speed of 100 mph which are speeds equivalent to those experienced in a Category 5 hurricane and F5 tornado.
With a Safe-At-Home storm shelter you can regain control of your life during the storm season instead of living in fear of the next big one and being part of the chaos surrounding an evacuation. Owning a Safe-At-Home storm shelter will give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing that you are fully prepared during the hurricane season.

Safe-At-Home Storm Shelter, Models
Interior safe rooms are typically installed in the garage. Interior shelters are constructed of heavy wood framing, concrete masonry blocks, and steel armor sheathing. The armored door has 3 dead bolts and an entry lockset. The entire enclosure is engineered and constructed to meet the FEMA standard of 250 mph winds and 100 mph missile impacts, and all local and state building codes.
Exterior storm shelter models are made from concrete masonry units reinforced with steel rebar and poured concrete. The floor is a steel reinforced concrete slab and the ceiling is concrete and steel. A pitched roof with shingles is framed over the enclosure to give it a finished architectural appearance consistent with your property and neighborhood. Various types of siding can be installed to blend with your home. Exterior models must be built stronger because they don’t have the added protection of your home’s structure surrounding them.
